As reported by John Masanauskas, city editor from the Herald Sun on 30 October 2019, population growth, climate change and rapid urbanisation were among the issues being discussed by hundreds of youth at the recent Melbourne conference.

Former Essendon Football Club champion Jobe Watson was on hand at the launch of the Kids Teaching Kids event, along with Melbourne Deputy Lord Mayor, Arron Wood, who runs the program.

The theme of this year's conference was Cities, Energy, Waste, Biodiversity - Water?  and all participants presented what they had learnt about a particular environmental issue affecting their community and shared their ideas about how we can make a difference.

Three of our students; Sacreana and Victoria from Year 8 and Caelen from Year 7 were fortunate enough to participate on the day.
