PAT Assessments Term 4: Weeks 3 to 5.
As part of the MACS 2030 Flourishing Learners strategy, our school will be participating in the upcoming Progressive Achievement (PAT) assessments. These assessments, used from Foundation to Year 10, help teachers identify what students know, understand, and can do in key learning areas. The results provide valuable insights that guide future teaching and support each student’s ongoing growth and achievement. By tracking progress over time, teachers can better understand each learner’s individual journey and plan targeted learning experiences.

Below are the dates when your child will be completing their PAT assessments:
Week 3 (20/10 - 24/10): Years 8, 9 and 10 PAT-Reading Adaptive
Week 4 (27/10 - 31/10): Years 8, 9 and 10 PAT-Mathematics Adaptive
Week 5 (03/10 - 07/11): Year 7 PAT-Reading and PAT-Mathematics Adaptive
It is an expectation that all students in Years 7 to 10 complete both the PAT Reading Adaptive and PAT Mathematics Adaptive assessments. We ask that any medical appointments are scheduled outside of the assessment times, and that any absences are followed up with a medical certificate. Parents can support their child by ensuring they are well-rested, prepared, and ready to engage fully during the assessment period.
Enrolments 2026
if a student in Years 7, 8 or 9 is not returning in 2026, we ask that families notify us as soon as possible. Please email jneves@crcstalbans.com.au or ring Jackie Neves on 9366 2544 with this information.
Your assistance with this is much appreciated as we have an extensive wait list at most levels and would like to let these families know sooner, rather than later.
